Judith Ronning, age 98, of Hendricks, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the Hendricks Nursing Home in Hendricks, MN.
Funeral will be at 2p.m. on Monday, July 9th at the Hendricks Hospital Chapel in Hendricks with Rev. Duane Baun officiating. Visitation will be from 12 to 2p.m. at the Hendricks Hospital Chapel the day of the service. Burial will be at the Singsaas Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Hendricks.

Judith Selma Ronning was born on May 8, 1914 to parents Andrew and Caroline (Kirkvold) Ronning near Lake Hendricks in Brookings County, South Dakota. She was baptized in the First Lutheran Church in Hendricks and was confirmed at Singsaas Lutheran Church. She attended District 73 country school for eight years.
Judith worked in Minneapolis for five years doing housework before she returned to Hendricks where she worked at the hospital in the kitchen. She had then taken LPN training and passed her test. She worked at the Hendricks Hospital as an LPN until her retirement in 1979.
She enjoyed gardening and doing fancy work such as sewing and embroidery. She also enjoyed singing in the church choir and many other church activities.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, the church choir, Ladies Aide, Circle and LDR.
Grateful for having shared Judith’s life is her sister-in-law, Lynn Ronning of California; one niece, Irene Lovejoy of Sandpoint, Idaho and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Caroline Ronning; two sisters, Clara and Ida; and three brothers, Clarence, Alvin and Justin.
